Truth Has No Color

I'm starting to believe that this is why people should be required to take critical thinking courses and also a thorough course in American History.
I think that Mr. Cahill gives a fair representation of the state of race relations in America. We're both the most racist and the least.

I'm going to have to seek out some of this man's books.

Critical thinking as well as empathy! These are two things I feel all children should begin to learn early in life. I work for a major textbook publisher and have pushed the idea of producing a critical thinking product several times to no avail. They seem to think it wouldn't sell. Very sad.

I need to seek out Cahill's books as well!

Now that the TRUTH is out will doors open to resolutions? It took immense courage and strength, to do what a presidential candidate did before us, We the People. A document titled "Racism in Our Country" was placed on the table, for all America, regardless of the race of her children, to see. What we witnessed was a "past" in our beloved United States filled with a tremendous amount of sadness, pain, grief and turmoil. It seems to me, that the "Young People" of our great nation, are preparing for a long awaitted CHANGE. God Bless America ... for we have much to discuss and accomplish.

I can't thank you enough for this blog. If anyone believes that Trinity is a hate-filled church, your voice rings out the truths we must all learn and long to hear.

I am glad to see clips of Rev. Wright's sermons posted on this site. It gives much more sense of him as a minister than the tiny out-of-context clips that have been running on Fox and YouTube.

However, I would very much like to see a transcript or video of the rest of his sermon talking about 9/11 (the one that referred to chickens coming home to roost). In the clip on this site, he began to talk about the responses God wants to a tragedy like 9/11, but named only 1 (self-examination) before the clip cut off. I would like to talk about this sermon in my blogging, and feel it would help put Rev.Wright's words in context for other people as well. Is there any way I can get a transcript of the rest of this sermon?

I can be reached at fionawest10@yahoo.com.

Thanks.

"People are messing with the wrong church to think that this is just going to be something that goes away," said member Linda Thomas, a theology and anthropology professor at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.

The definition for "Christian" according to the Random House Unabridged Dictionary 2006 -

"exhibiting a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus Christ; Christlike"

Need I say more?

The reality is that he is a pastor teaching the truth and not just the pretty truth but the good, bad, and the ugly truth as it relates to broken lives and disparities in the bible. But Barack has absolutely nothing to do with what his pastor preaches!!! He is an independent thinker. American could learn alot from him.

We have been bombarded with the phrase "Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian." Another phrase that Dr. Wright has stated during my 30 years of knowing and loving him is "everyone that is your color is not your kind and everyone not your color is not your enemy." There is a balance in Truth that often escapes the Headline seekers.

Here are 2 links to Clintons latest whoppers. In my opinion, this was a feeble attempt to change the subject because the Washington Post had awarded her 4 pinnochios for her Bosnia saga. So, she disses Rev. Wright claiming, "I would have left." Trouble is, her own pastor wrote a letter supporting Wright. So I guess she is going to leave her church. This is after Wright was there to stand by her man in prayer when he was caught in a doosey. How soon we forget.

In the other link, she is telling tall tales again, much like Pecos Bill. Not there are no black lies or white lies, just bald faced lies. What is laughable is that her moral finger pointing at Rev. Wright reminds me of my elementary students who get caught doing something wrong, they always point to someone else.
